Sponsorship that saves lives. What could be more valuable or important? Building on an eight-year sponsorship commitment supporting people living with blood cancer, Brydens Lawyers committed to three-year scholarship funding for PHD student Basit Salik in 2021. Basit is undertaking vital research looking to improve the survival outcomes for Australians diagnosed with acute myeloid leukaemia, a form of blood cancer which tends to return more often after treatment.

Sadly, 50 Australians are diagnosed with blood cancer each day, joining more than 110,000 people living with the devastating impact of our second most diagnosed cancer. Blood cancer also claims the lives of 15 Australians each and every day.

Since 2000, the Leukaemia Foundation’s National Research Program has invested more than $57 million in research focussed on innovation in diagnosis, treatments and quality of life, right across the blood cancer spectrum.

We’re very grateful to have Brydens Lawyers joining us on this important life-saving journey.
